Fairy Tales Can Come True
Join us on Friday, October 18 for an exciting evening of TOGETHERNESS to raise money for the University City Children’s Center tuition assistance program. We will celebrate our children and families, honor Stephen Zwolak (Mr. Z), and share how UCCC and LUME Institute have joined up hand in hand, together, with Youth in Need to be a team.
Like the book, We Are Together, University City Children’s Center is a joyful community where children, families and educators learn to build a culture of joy, love, compassion, empathy, and trust. Here, FAIRY TALES DO COME TRUE every day.
This year, we are eager to celebrate a new chapter of TOGETHERNESS shared by UCCC, LUME Institute and Youth In Need. We are excited for everything our organizations will accomplish together as we serve families and advance early childhood education.

Thank you!
We are grateful for your support and for all of the ways you express UCCC’s five core values. Our core values represent the foundational layers, which we understand as important for children to thrive, securing their racial and social equity. Childhood development includes establishing a foundation of trust, followed by the development of empathy toward a demonstration of compassion, outpouring of love, and the exuberance of joy.
With your support, we can continue to provide high quality care and tuition assistance to families. For more questions, contact Mary Ann Gaston: mgaston@uccc.org or 314-726-0148.
Emotional Development & Learning Outcomes
UCCC’s practice of the LUME Approach transforms the way families, educators and communities inspire young children to learn, grow and thrive. Alongside compelling science, we’re teaching educators how to be present, to connect and to advance relationships in ways that meet children’s need for love, belonging and appropriate power, all while furthering their learning outcomes.
